Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and boyfriend actor Sam Milby have donated 50 bikes for Pasig City residents through Gretchen Ho’s bike donation drive.
The humanitarian-beauty queen happily shared in an Instagram post on September 16, 2020, her collaboration with Gretchen’s initiative with the help of Cornerstone Talents, Secret Scents, and Medigrade Philippines in procuring the bikes.
“A bike allows Filipinos who depend on public transport, that has since been limited due to the pandemic, to safely travel to their workplace. Or a bike allows Filipinos who have recently lost their jobs to find work,” wrote the champion of Laguna heritage products.
The TV presenter and athlete responded to Catriona’s generosity by posting on Facebook the same day saying, “From one SUPERWOMAN to another.”
Ho, founder of the “Donate a Bike Save a Job” initiative through the “Woman in Action” project, started out the campaign in August to give free bikes to workers who are having difficulty going to work because of the lack of transportation amid the community quarantine.
Since the launch of the bike donation drive, the original goal of donating 50 bikes has been exceeded and reached 500 as of August 31. The team hopes to finish the year with 1,000 donated free bikes.
With that goal, the One-Town-One-Product Philippines’ ambassador encouraged others to lend a hand by simply messaging Gretchen Ho through Woman In Action and help support Filipino families and save jobs.

Catriona has been very active in supporting communities amid the lockdown including her “No Work, No Rice” fundraiser to feed thousands of families in Tondo, Manila, and donating her Miss Universe Pin for Angel Locsin’s test kits fundraiser.
