The Philippines’ softbelles from Bulacan emerged in the Top 3 at the Little League World Series 2019.
The Philippine softball team represented Asia Pacific (ASPAC) as the regional champion in the World Series championships.
Little League Philippines via Emilio I. Rana Jr. reported that the Filipina softbelles of Team Philippines from San Miguel, Bulacan National High School defeated USA Central of Michigan, 2-0, to win the bronze medal in the Little League Seniors Softball World Series in Roxana, Delaware.
“Philippine Ace Pitcher Kacelyn Valino played the game of his life by shutting out the batters of USA Central. Kacelyn struck out 12 batters, allowed only one hit and zero runs against the opponent,” announced Rana on August 5.
“The Filipina softbelles coached by Jennifer Cabral Sta. Ana scored the winning runs in the first and third innings of (the) game,” added Rana.
