A new adventure mobile game based on the inspirational life story of the Philippines’ very own boxing legend Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao is set to be released in 2021.
“Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga” traces the Filipino champion’s humble beginnings up to his established boxing career as the only professional boxer in history to win 12 major world titles in eight different weight divisions.
The 2.5D action beat-em-up video game was developed by OMG Inc. and Philippine-based studio Ranida Games, with insight from Manny Pacquiao himself.
Gamers can play Story Mode to accompany the young PacMan in his early life in his hometown, General Santos City as well as interact with characters that played a crucial role in the athlete’s career. The game even shows Manny Pacquiao overcoming challenges and social issues like bullying while leveling up his skills and abilities to win fights.
Boxing fans who have been following PacMan’s journey from the start will also be in for a treat as some of the in-game fights will be historically accurate and are played against Pacquiao’s most noteworthy opponents. The game will have three modes: story mode, historical mode, and online player-versus-player mode.
