Indie folk-pop Filipino band Ben&Ben soared 19 notches on the Global Billboard Social 50 Chart, overtaking artists from the United States.
Ben&Ben climbed to the 29th spot on the week of April 11, 2020, up from its previous ranking at 48th spot.
The Filipino band surpassed U.S. artists such as Cardi B and Doja Cat and international artists such as Lali, Tomorrow X Together on the Billboard Social 50 Chart that ranks the most active musical artists on social media.
“hello! Ben&Ben rose to # 29 in the global Billboard Social 50 chart! grabe kayo. it’s our dream to share our music to a global audience one day. let’s get there together!” Ben&Ben announced on Twitter on April 8.
The 9-member group is known for its popular hit songs such as Ride Home, Leaves, Pagtingin, Araw-araw, Maybe The Night and Kathang Isip.
Their song “Sa Susunod na Habangbuhay” quickly went trending on social media on the day of its release, with netizens sharing messages of positivity.

The group has been anointed as the first Filipino band to be the National Geographic (NatGeo) Asia #PlanetorPlastic Ambassadors.
The Filipino band raised over 2.7 million pesos within an hour in a Facebook Live concert for the Puhon.ph efforts to support frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus disease.
On the week of January 25, 2020, Pinoy Pop group SB19’s “Go Up” landed on the 17th spot in The Billboard Social 50 List, beating international pop artist Rihanna and K-pop global superstar Super Junior.
