Baguio City’s Roxanne Baeyens won the 1st Runner-Up title at the 2019 Miss Tourism and Culture Universe held in Yangon, Myanmar.
The Filipino-Belgian beauty queen also bagged the Miss Popularity award, matching the Mister Popularity award won by her counterpart Yves Campos who was crowned Mister Tourism and Culture Universe 2019 in the dual pageant ceremonies held on August 31.
Roxanne Baeyens joined the international pageant as the Face of Tourism Philippines 2019 winner.
Baeyens, who traces her parental heritage to the Cordillera region, also made it to the Top 5 of the national costume competition where she showcased an attire inspired from the classic Filipino comics superheroine, Darna.

Miss Philippines Roxanne Baeyens’ achievement adds to the feats of Filipina beauties who also won 1st runner-up titles in their respective pageants such as Gabrielle Camille Basiano in Miss Friendship International 2019 pageant held in China, Maria Divine Angela Veranga in the Jewel of the World 2019 in Quezon City, Maureen Montagne in Miss Eco International in Egypt, Pauline Abigael Ebora in Miss Supermodel Globe held in India.
