Filipino celebrity Anne Curtis has crossed the finish line of her “Takbo Para Sa Bata” campaign with PHP 2.2 Million raised for abused women and children in the Philippines.

The children’s welfare advocate exceeded her fundraising goal after conquering the 2023 Tokyo Marathon, one of Asia’s largest marathons.

Curtis’ UNICEF fundraiser successfully raised a total of PHP 1,089,264.67 through her Go Get Funding page. The actress matched the full amount raised by generous donors through her campaign, bringing the total donations to PHP 2.2 Million.

“We can ALL be heroes, even if it’s just for one day. Closing my funding page at 1,089,264.67! Way above our goal & as promised, I will be matching that amount,” Anne Curtis wrote in an Instagram post on March 19, 2023.

The fundraiser will help create satellite centers in select barangays known as “TeleCPUs,” which are one-stop centers that provide “medical evaluation, psychosocial services, and legal services for abused women and children.”

“No donation was small, because behind each donation was a big heart that wanted to help Filipino children who are victims of abuse get the help they need to heal and recover,” Curtis added.

Anne Curtis has been using her influence to help various causes. She even celebrated her baby’s first birthday with a fundraiser for kids and mothers and joined forces with fellow celebrity Angel Locsin to help in efforts to conduct coronavirus mass testing in the Philippines.
