ABS-CBN actress Angel Locsin is assuming her newest role on TV as the presenter of inspiring stories of Filipinos on the new show, “Iba ‘Yan.”
The humanitarian aid worker is hosting the new docu-reality show that highlights the positive traits of the Filipino people beginning June 14, 2020.
Angel is not new to this newest set up as she is an inspiring Filipino herself after being hailed as one of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy awardees in 2018.
The “real-life Darna” has been actively helping Filipinos, most especially those who are displaced due to natural and man-made adversities, such as the Taal Volcano eruption victims in January 2020.
When the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis paralyzed public transportation due to the enforced lockdown and as patients overcrowded the hospitals, Angel and her team raised millions of pesos through #UniTENTweStandPH campaign to help set up additional tents for patients and provided sleeping quarters for health workers.
Aside from her newest TV show, Angel is back to raising funds with her follow actors to help in efforts to conduct coronavirus mass testing in the Philippines via Shop and Share 2020.
In a virtual press conference on Saturday for the show held on June 13, the award-winning actress shared that she receives joy by helping others.
The actress-philanthropist also added that the show aims to inspire Filipinos to be proud of themselves.
