The Resorts World Manila (RWM) staging of “Ang Huling El Bimbo (AHEB)” has again been extended due to insistent public demand.
The Full House Theater Company’s (FHTC) musical theatre production of the music legacy from 90s OPM band icon Eraserheads has been running since July 2018 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at RWM.
The successful first staging of AHEB paved the way for extended runs in 2019 in the months of February, March, April, and recently in May.

The songs penned by Ely Buendia and performed together with bandmates Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro while they were still students and dorm residents at the University of the Philippines Diliman were given new life and context on the Newport Performing Arts Theater stage.
The 2019 stagings improved on the 2018 run – resulting in public clamor to keep the play on stage, with celebrities like Boy Abunda, Christine and Julius Babao, among many others, adding their voices to the plea.

Notable in the 2019 staging is the fleshing out of the character of Joy as a pivotal personality in the play as essayed by Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and Tanya Manalang with the consequent line and scene changes.
Notable too were the improved set design and the introduction of new actors.
FHTC chief and AHEB’s Joy Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo is joined by fellow original AHEB actors Gian Magdangal, Jon Santos, and OJ Mariano in the 2019 restagings.
FHTC has announced the Final Run of “Ang Huling El Bimbo” during the weekends of July 5 – August 18, 2019 at the RWM Newport Performing Arts Theater.
