ABS-CBN Entertainment Online live-streaming the Eraserheads music-based Original Filipino Musical, “Ang Huling El Bimbo (AHEB)” to raise funds for COVID 19 relief efforts.
Full House Theater Company (FHTC), together with Resorts World Manila and ABS-CBN Foundation Pantawid ng Pag-ibig program, is set to stream the AHEB hit musical on Facebook and YouTube, this weekend for free.
The theater company announced the good news on its social media about the limited online run on May 8-9, 2020, of the Original Filipino Musical based on the songs of iconic 90s Pinoy rock band, Eraserheads.
“Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical” will be available online from 12:01 AM on May 8 until 11:59 PM on May 9 only.
“Isang nakakaindak, nakakaaliw, nakakatindig balahibong palabas gamit ang musika nina Marcus, Raymund, Buddy at Ely. The show is free, but we ask viewers to show their love by donating to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig for the benefit of families most affected by the quarantine,” posted FHTC social media.
“Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical” which takes its title from the band’s original hit song, started staging on July 20, 2018, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
The all-original Pinoy musical returned on stage from March 1 to April 6, 2019, had a third re-run from May 11 to 26, 2019, and again had an extension and final re-run due to public demand during the weekends from July 5 to August 18, 2019.
AHEB is top-billed by the country’s finest theater performers such as Philippine Idol alumnus Gian Magdangal, the “first lady” of Philippine musical theatre Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Tanya Manalang, veteran actor Jon Santos, OJ Mariano of The CompanY, and more.
AHEB tells the story of four young individuals who were brought together by their dreams and aspirations in life set in a university much like the Eraserheads’ time at the University of the Philippines Diliman but were torn apart due to a tragedy. Years later, they were forced once again to be reunited to confront and face their dark past.
“The show is free, but we ask viewers to show their love by donating to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig for the benefit of families most affected by the quarantine,” the Full House Theater Company announced.
