Filipinos are joining the global celebration of Earth Day 2025 today, Tuesday, April 22, the official date proclaimed by the United Nations through a resolution adopted in the UN General Assembly in 2009. The observance highlights the urgent need for collective environmental action around the world.

Discover 10 simple ways you can help the environment beyond Earth Day and keep the momentum going all year round.

This year’s global theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” calls on everyone to unite around renewable energy with the goal to triple clean electricity by 2030. Led by EarthDay.org, the campaign encourages people to educate, advocate, and mobilize their communities through local and global Earth Action events. From online resources to on-the-ground efforts, the movement inspires action not just today, but every day.

See how Filipinos once took on the Earth Day Challenge to build Light it Forward solar lamps and be inspired to create your own acts of environmental impact.
