Aside from winning the crown, the country’s pageant representative also took home the Best National Costume Award for her Philippine eagle-inspired ensemble called Mangayon, designed by Tata Pinuela.

She sealed her victory by nailing the question-and-answer portion, where she was asked to imagine the world in 2050 and share what she hopes has changed by then.
“If you want me to be realistic, climate change is impacting the world right now, and the only thing we can do is to act towards it,” the newly crowned beauty queen responded.
“Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, we have the same mother even if we come from different nations. And we, in here, are brothers and sisters right now. Our mother is asking for our help, so we must save our planet Earth, and we must take care of our Mother Earth,” she concluded.
