Miss Philippines Alethea Ambrosio may not have won the Miss Supranational 2024 crown, but the Filipino nation still has reasons to celebrate.
The country’s bet was crowned a Continental Queen with the title Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania during the grand coronation held on July 6 (July 7, Philippine Standard Time) in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
The continental queen title was given to the highest-placing candidate from the region who did not advance to the Top 5. The Pinay beauty queen from Bulacan was among the Top 12 finalists. Fellow Asian candidate Harashta Haifa Zahra of Indonesia penetrated the Top 5 and eventually won the Miss Supranational 2024 crown.
During the Top 12 round, Ambrosio shared how she would maximize her platform as a beauty queen in case she would be crowned.
“In my country, where beauty queens are often applauded for speaking in English, I won my national title using Filipino, our national language. As a cultural torchbearer, I seek to lead the path in forging cross-cultural understanding among my sisters as your next Miss Supranational Ambassadress,” the Economics major from De La Salle University said.
