She added, “A history has been made nga po sa time namin kasi the last medal we won was 2009 pa, bronze medal. Pero ngayon, for this year, nakuha namin yung silver nakakaproud po talaga para po sa amin.”

The Philippine team first took the top spot in the group games after defeating Team Ibaraki Japan (3-2) and Team Tokyo B Japan (4-1), propelling the PBAD-Smash Pilipinas to the semifinals.
In the semis, the Filipino athletes defeated the team from Delhi, India, (3-2), to send the team to the finals against Singapore.
According to PBAD-Smash Pilipinas Juniors team member Sean Aniano, they did not expect everything they achieved in the tournament.
