The Philippines’ Auro Chocolate is opening its first-ever chocolate cafe concept at the IKEA store in Pasay City, Manila.
The award-winning chocolate-maker from Davao, the Philippines’ official Cacao capital, announced its newest endeavor through social media.
“We’ve been keeping this hush hush for a while but the chocolate bomb is about to drop!” Auro Chocolate said in a Facebook post on November 13, 2021.
“We’re opening our first ever Auro Chocolate Cafe concept in @ikeaphilippines! Coming very soon! Stay tuned!”
The Filipino company has yet to release more details about the upcoming project. It will soon launch at the first IKEA Philippines branch in the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
Auro Chocolate is a premium bean-to-bar chocolate company that supports Filipino farming communities while also promoting sustainability and the Philippine cacao industry.
The brand has won numerous international accolades, including five gold awards in the International Chocolate Awards (ICA) Asia-Pacific competition last year and the prestigious Academy of Chocolate in London.
The Filipino chocolatier has also launched collaborations with local brands and designers to produce delectable treats for Pinoy chocolate lovers.
In 2019, Philippine cacao won one of the main awards for the Top 20 Best Cacao Beans in the World. Auro Chocolate cocoa farmer Jose Saguban from Davao received the award in Paris, France.
