Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) students have bagged the Silver Award in the recently concluded IIBD International Case Competition organized online by the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) School of Business and the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business (IIBD).
The team composed of Ateneo Management Engineering majors Tiffany Golangco, Hazel Si, John Lee, and Bea Reyes, with head coach Gabe Sin, won second place in the final round of the competition held virtually on November 5, 2021.
The Filipino students competed amongst student teams from 37 universities in 21 countries in this year’s business case tilt with the theme “Educating the World”.
This year’s gold award winner was the Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia, while the bronze was brought home by the Ivey Business School in Canada.
Established in 2008, the IIBD International Case Competition is a competition for IIBD member and non-member universities worldwide. Students will have the chance to gain hands-on experience to tackle real-world business problems, which highlight the strategic challenges and managerial dilemmas, and to network with peers and industry professionals from across the globe.
Ateneo de Manila University students have also won top honors in the Grand Finals of the Korea World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC).
