Pinoy creator Quiccs Maiquez is again vying for the Designer Toy Awards (DTAs) Artist of the Year, aiming to win his third successive award in the Public Fan-Voted category.
This is the third straight year for Quiccs to receive double nominations in the Designer Toy Awards. He has been named a finalist in both the Public Fan-Voted and Panel-Voted categories of the 2019 and 2018 DTAs, an annual event hosted by Clutter Magazine to honor excellence and innovation in the field of Designer Toys.
In both 2019 and 2018, Quiccs won the Public Fan-Voted DTA Artist of the Year.
Quiccs took to social media to thank fans and his peers for the nomination.
Quiccs was announced as a finalist up for votes in the 2020 edition of the DTAs which was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
The Filipino artist is a finalist in the Public Fan-Voted Artist of the Year category which recognizes an artist who designed and/or produced a variety of outstanding new releases last year as well as garnering a strong base of followers and a steady demand for new material.
Quiccs, Adidas’ first Filipino creator for the shoes and shirts of the sportswear brand a Secretlab designer for special edition gaming chairs, has also been named a finalist in the Panel-Voted Artist of the Year category.
The Designer Toy Awards announced public voting will run from October 26 to 27. The Designer Toy Awards will be held during the Five Points Fest on October 30 at 7 PM.
