Little Picasso of the Philippines Worth Lodriga has been named the country’s first-ever Child Youth Ambassador of the National Youth Commission (NYC).
The 12-year-old two-time winner of the Junior Picasso contest’s highest 7-star artist award was presented as the Philippines’ youngest national ambassador in ceremonies conducted by the NYC on September 24, 2021.
The young painter, consistent honor student, student leader, varsity player, and school magazine artist from La Salle Greenhills, was recognized for being a role model for children and youth with his many achievements and activities.
Lodriga has been competing internationally in painting competitions while proudly carrying his Filipino pride colors while winning 18 global awards including the Mars Art contest in Colorado and Frogs Are Green Art Contest in New Jersey.
The National Commission on Culture and the Arts also awarded Lodriga the prestigious Ani ng Dangal for Visual Arts in 2018 and 2020.
Worth Lodriga has also created a painting series on Filipino Traditions.
Worth is a speaker for the NCCA and the Department of Education and is set to be awarded as an Ambassador of Goodwill.
The painting prodigy has also founded the Worth Lodriga Travels & Paints Charity Art Workshop wherein he travels around the Philippines to give free art materials and free art workshops to the poor.
Worth is also a loving son who dedicates his achievements to his mother, Architect Wendy Lodriga who helped him hone his craft.
