Pinoy pop group SB19 has been named a finalist in the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to achieve the recognition.
SB19 will compete against American artist Ariana Grande and K-pop groups Blackpink, Seventeen, and BTS, which has claimed the fan-voted Top Social Artist title for the past four years.
The five-member group composed of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin, make history as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated as one of the five finalists in the international awards’ Top Social Artist category ranking music popularity based on the internet presence.
“WE MADE IT, A’TIN! We are nominated for Top Social Artist of this year’s Billboard Music Awards!” SB19 announced through its official Twitter account.
“We are so grateful for your love and support. We wouldn’t have come this far without all of you. A’TIN ‘TO! Iwawagayway ang WATAWAT,” the boy band adds.

Billboard Music Awards finalists and winners will be based on global fan engagement, album and digital song sales, streaming, and radio airplay, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data.
Fan-voted categories include Top Social Artist and Top Collaboration.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, U.S.A., on May 23, 2021.

The Pinoy boy band Soundbreak19 (SB19) has conquered Billboard’s “Top Social 50 Artists” rankings, “Next Big Sound” and “LyricFind Global” charts.
The first Filipino group to be trained by a South Korean entertainment company has become known all over the world for its chart-topping hits including “Tilaluha”, “Go Up“, “Love Goes”, “What?”, and “Ikako“.
