New boy group Alamat has debuted at the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart, becoming the fastest Filipino act to make it to the global music list.
The recently launched Pinoy pop (P-Pop) boy band is making waves for their self-written debut single, “kbye” which has its nine members singing and rapping in Philippine languages Tagalog, Ilocano, Waray-Waray, Bicolano, Kapampangan, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya.
The R&B track entered this week’s international music chart at No. 2 which is the highest peak position for a song by a newly established Filipino group.
The Billboard Next Big Sound Chart is a weekly ranking of the “fastest accelerating artists” on social media and streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music.
Alamat earlier released their first song and was launched by Viva Records and Ninuno Media on February 10, 2021.

Alamat’s new single “kbye” is also featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” playlist.
