Pinoy pop group SB19 is starting the new year strong with its “Hanggang sa Huli” reaching No. 1 in Billboard’s LyricFind Global Chart.
The Filipino boy band’s song topped the Billboard chart this week, marking the 5th time an SB19 release took the No. 1 spot.
Prior to “Hanggang Sa Huli,” four other SB19 songs – “Alab,” “Love Goes,” “Tilaluha,” and ” Ikako,” the track dedicated to medical frontliners, made it to No. 1 on the Billboard LyricFind Global chart in different weeks.
The Filipino idols of the sensational boy band Soundbreak19 (SB19) also shared the group’s recent achievement to fans who are called “A’TIN” (pronounced as “eighteen”).
“‘Hanggang Sa Huli’ lands at #1 on this week’s Billboard LyricFind Global, making it the 5th #SB19 song to reach the top spot,” SB19 wrote in an Instagram post on January 6, 2021.
“Thank you to A’TIN, our #1 source of love!” SB19 said.
Most of the SB19 tracks that entered the Billboard chart are part of the group’s debut studio album “Get In The Zone” which was released in 2020.
Last year, the Philippine Pop (P-pop) idol boy group made history as the only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to make it to the top 10 of Billboard’s Social 50 chart.
The all-Filipino boy group had been a mainstay in the Billboard global charts throughout the year. SB19 was ranked sixth in the Billboard Year-End Charts’ “Top Social 50 Artists” for 2020.
All five members of the boy band – Sejun, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin – also recently starred in their first short film “Ex-Mas” as a holiday gift for fans.
