Filipino food chain Jollibee Rome has opened in a spot just minutes away from Vatican City.
The second Jollibee store in Italy, after Milan opened in 2018, is located at Via Ottaviano 81/83, an 8-minute walk from St. Peter’s Square and the center of the Catholic faith.
Jollibee Rome opened on September 29, 2020, amid the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic with health safety protocols in place such as the wearing of face mask and observance of physical distancing.
Opening day sales recorded over 4,000 pieces of Jollibee’s popular Chickenjoy served.
Jollibee Rome is the homegrown restaurant chain’s fourth European store after Milan, London, and Liverpool.
Jollibee Group CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong said that “Ever since our opening in Milan, we saw that there was a huge demand for Jollibee here in Italy and our succeeding openings in the United Kingdom show the appeal of Jollibee in other parts of Europe as well.”
Jollibee Rome restaurant entrance address: Via Ottaviano, 83, 00192 Rome (RM) and its takeaway location address: Via degli Scipioni, 70, 00192 Rome (RM) with opening hours from 9:00 am-22:00 pm.
