Batangas’ Casa Antonio Glamp Camp is sponsoring 50 units of prepaid Wi-Fi kits to students in Batangas who will study under the new normal conditions of schooling amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The upcoming school year in the Philippines will employ a ‘blended learning’ approach to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. ‘Blended’ or ‘distance’ learning eliminates the need for face-to-face interaction amongst students and teachers. Much of the classes will transpire online.
The Batangas ‘glamping (luxury camping)” site located in Calatagan, Batangas, started the “Ayuda na Wifi sa Bahay” project in July to help pupils cope up with the new normal of education.
The project is a collaboration between Casa Antonio Vacations Manila & Batangas and Bukid and Dagat Fresh, an online food delivery service for goods from Batangas and Tagaytay that was started to provide staff with income amidst the pandemic.
The project will award 50 units of the prepaid Wi-Fi device to chosen students in Calatagan, Batangas. The device can accommodate a household with multiple students, as it can connect up to ten gadgets to the internet.
The Batangas resort’s official Facebook page will announce the first batch of winners on August 6, 2020.
More individuals and companies are stepping up to help Filipino kids get access to education. Overseas Filipino nurse Aldrin Licayan sponsored computers for Pinoy kids.
Asian star Alden Richards gave out cash gifts and gadgets while Heart Evangelista’s Big Heart PH provides students with distance learning tools.
