“One box sold is one box shared” is the motto of Gising Gising PH, an online store wherein every purchased box of vegetables, they donate another box to poor families.
Gising Gising PH was founded in April 2020, during the time of enhanced community quarantine, which pushed the team to help out local farmers and poor communities affected.
The low-income families in Brgy. Calawis in Antipolo and Payatas in Quezon City are the partner communities of GG PH and directly benefit from the initiative of the team.
Gising Gising shared on FB that as of July 10, 2020, they were able to donate a total of 751 boxes including the goods they shared to Missionaries of Charity- Home of Love (Orphanage with 500 kids) and to several residents and Construction workers in Brgy. Sto. Nino, Cainta, Rizal.
Currently, the Benguet and Quezon farmers directly supply the demand of Gising Gising to be able to break off the long supply chain, as well as satisfy the goal of providing food to less fortunate.
The online store offers 4 kinds of pre-packed assorted vegetables each one curated to cater to different lifestyles and nutritional needs. Each box is prized from Php 650.00 up.
