The E-Gilas Philippine team is going for a 5-game sweep of its finals series with Team Indonesia to seal its claim on the first FIBA Esports Open title on Sunday night.
Team Philippines had already notched a 4-0 record against Indonesia prior to its final game on the evening of June 21, 2020, to make its official claim on the FIBA Esports Open South East Asia Conference championship title.
E-Gilas dominated the following finals matches against the Indons:
Game 1: 56-29
Game 2: 64-30
Game 3: 66-34
Game 4: 79-44
The E-Gilas’ basketball players taking the Philippines to the championship are Philippe “Izzo” Alcaraz IV, Clark Banzon, Aljon “Shintarou” Cruzin, Custer “Aguilar” Galas, and Rial Polog, with Rocky “Rak” Brana and David “Alt” Timajo as reserves.

The Philippines had also shown its dominance in Esports, winning the gold at its first run at the 30th Southeast Asian Games in 2019.
