Filipino celebrity YouTubers Jak Roberto and Jong Madaliday of GMA Network marked milestones as they received their Gold and Silver Play Button awards.
The two male celebrities went to social media to thank their online fans and supporters for their recent achievement as video content creators.
Actor Jak Roberto expressed his appreciation to his more than 1 million subscribers since he started creating video content in July 2019.
“We are now 1 Million strong on Youtube!” the 26-year-old actor-model said on his Instagram post on May 23, 2020. “Thank you guys! Stay safe everyone!”
The TV star and fitness enthusiast who started his career as a regular co-host and performer on “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman” entertains his subscribers by sharing his captured moments from his travel, his love for motorbikes, and bonding with his family and girlfriend Barbie Forteza.
All Out Sunday regular singer-performer Jong Madaliday also thanked his supporters on his Instagram post on June 8.
“Whoo! Maraming salamat po sa supporta!” the Cotabato-born singer wrote on his IG post. “Kung hindi po dahil sainyo hindi ko matatanggap itong Silver Play Button galing kay @youtube Happy 100K!”
Jong Madaliday started his YouTube vlog in June 2019 and quickly amassed more than 100K subscribers to his song covers and performances.
He is a product of various singing competitions and was given a break when he made it to the first batch of The Clash season 1 in 2018. He emerged first runner-up to Golden Canedo of Cebu.
The 21-year-old GMA Artist also went viral on social media due to his voice that is often compared to the voices of the iconic band, Air Supply.
Aside from Jak and Jong, fellow GMA Kapuso celebrity vloggers have also received their YouTube Play Buttons awards.
Thirteen-year-old “Prima Donnas” actress Sofia Pablo received her YouTube Silver Play Button Award after reaching more than 100k subscribers.
StarStruck Batch IV alumna and drama actress-entrepreneur Kris Bernal also received her YouTube Silver Play Button Award made a promised to give back to her fans.
In 2019, actress-fashion icon and Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista was awarded the YouTube Creator Awards’ Gold Play Button as recognition for reaching one million subscribers on her channel, Love Marie Escudero.
Moreover, their home network, GMA-7, holds the distinction of being the first Filipino TV network and the second TV network in Southeast Asia to have two YouTube Channels with 10 million subscribers.
