The Philippines is the 8th Most Favorite Place for world travelers in the Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Readers’ Choice Awards 2019.
The Southeast Asian country was named in the Top 20 Countries in the World favored by over 600,000 registered voters in the 2019 edition of the annual traveler awards released in October.
The Philippines received a score of 90.63 in the list topped by Indonesia with 92.78 points.

The CNT Travel Guide To Philippines described the country’s many offerings where a traveler can “Pick your own private paradise in the idyllic archipelago”.
“From chic and luxurious to homely and tranquil: whatever your travel requirements, there’s a resort in the idyllic archipelago of the Philippines to suit you,” recommends CNT.
The travel guide names 7 resorts it recommends for travelers located in Palawan and Siargao.
- Miniloc Island Resort in Bacuit Bay, El Nido, Palawan
- Marina Del Nido in Malapacao Island, El Nido, Palawan
- Malapacao Island Retreat in El Nido, Palawan
- Club Noah-Isabelle in Apulit Island, Taytay, North-eastern Palawan
- Flower Island in Taytay, Palawan
- Amanpulo in Pamalican Island, Cuyo Islands Group
- Pansukian in Siargao Island, Mindanao
In the same Readers’ Choice Awards, Boracay Island in the Philippines was named the Best Asian Island.
The Philippines also recently won for its dive travel destination and best tourism board at the 2019 World Travel Awards held in Vietnam.
The Philippines was also hailed as most improved in the World Economic Forum Travel Tourism Index.
