The four Filipina Miss Universe winners, Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, were reunited in a mural painting at the SM North Towers Artwalk in Quezon City.
The artwork titled “The Four Crowns” was painted by Peterich Chiu Wan and is now on display alongside other mural paintings which feature Filipino arts and images.
The artist from the University of the Philippines Diliman posted a photo of his mural painting on social media after it was officially launched in public on September 22.
“My first ever mural work for SM North Towers Artwalk featuring the four Ms. Universe titleholders from the Philippines. Margie Moran-Floirendo (1973), Catriona Gray (2018) Pia Wurtzbach (2015) and Gloria Diaz (1969),” Wan said in his post.
The newly displayed mural painting features Filipina beauty queens in their winning gowns and wearing their iconic crowns.
Margie Moran, the chairperson of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, won the second Miss Universe crown for the country in 1973 in her white gown.
