Filipino dance group Legit Status won the Top 3 spot at the 2019 World HipHop Championships in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Philippine representative to the annual HipHop International competition emerged with a podium finish in the Megacrew Division of the “Olympics of streetdance” held from August 5 to 10.
Legit Status competed among 4,000 participants from 50 countries in the world’s most celebrated event where the Philippines has garnered numerous podium finishes since 2006 including that of UPeepz winning Gold in the same division in 2016 and 2017.
The 2018 edition of the World HipHop Championships brought the Philippines championship medals in the following: Varsity Division Silver for Kingsmen, Adult Division Bronze for The Peepz, MegaCrew Silver for Fusion and Bronze for Kindred.
World HipHop Championships is organized by the producers of MTV’s Randy Jackson presents America’s Best Dance Crew, the USA Hip Hop Dance Championship, the World Hip Hop Dance Championship, the World Battles and Urban Moves Dance Workshops.
