Introducing Dr. Pierangeli Vital, an Environmental Microbiologist and the Young Ambassador of the Philippines to the prestigious International Society for Microbial Ecology.
Dr. Vital is a young pioneer in the field of investigation of microbial food safety in agricultural products in the Philippines.
Her interest in Environmental and Food Microbiology brought her to where she is now, at University of the Philippines Diliman. Dr. Vital works as a University Researcher and Head of the Biological Research and Services Laboratory at the Natural Sciences Research Institute.
She is a researcher and an assistant professor at the same time. Dr. Vital never stopped learning and instead established her own research laboratory, Environmental Microbiology Laboratory, to expand her knowledge about microbiology and to empower aspiring researchers to exert their talent and passion by researching.
Dr. Pierangeli Vital studies Microbiology in the environment and in food while sharing her knowledge as a teacher at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
