Eight Filipino Grade 5 students brought pride to the country after winning 10 individual medals and a team trophy in the 22nd Po Leung Kuk Primary Mathematics World Contest (PMWC) held from July 15 to 19 in Hong Kong.
The Filipino Math wizards performed strongly against 144 students from 15 countries which included the United States, Australia, South Korea, China, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
The Philippine Team ended the competition with 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the individual contests and 4 silver medals and a trophy in the group competition.
Here are the 2019 Po Leung Kuk PMWC Filipino Math wizards winners released by the Mathematics Trainers Guild (MTG):
Individual Silver Medalists

Earlier this year, the MTG also led Filipino mathletes in bagging golds in Vietnam.
