How many Filipino fathers do you know who can successfully balance their work and family life? Fathers who overcome the challenge deserve to be called “inspirational.”
The month of June honors the sacrifices and contributions of these men with Father’s Day, much like how mothers are celebrated in May.
This occasion started in the Middle Ages as a celebration for the feast day of Saint Joseph, the husband of Mary and father of Jesus Christ, every March 19. The tradition was brought to the United States in the 20th century and was changed to every month of June.

Father’s Day provides an opportunity for families and society to remember the countless reasons to be thankful for fathers – such as their being good role models, advisers, and providers for their children.
As the world celebrates this special day made for fathers, Good News Pilipinas came up with a list of inspirational Filipino celebrity dads – a broadcast journalist, a boxing champion, a popular actor, a brand endorser, and a basketball player – who effectively balance their time for family and work.
RICO HIZON
Award-winning broadcast journalist Rico Hizon raises the Philippine flag offshore as a Filipino news anchor of BBC World. The Singapore-based Filipino Pride Advocate serves as a role model for his son Migo.
The BBC World News presenter passes his beautiful Filipino values to his son such as his love for the country and for sports.

MANNY PACQUIAO
Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is an inspiration to the whole country and so much more to his family. The fighting senator and his family remain humble and religious despite his numerous achievements in life. The family has been spotted multiple times spending time together for bible studies, mass service, and charities.
The Pambasang Kamao successfully defended his WBA Welterweight title last January against a much younger Adrien Broner. Pacquiao is now preparing for his upcoming fight versus Keith Thurman on July 20.

DINGDONG DANTES
One can say that popular actor Dingdong Dantes’ life is complete after his wife Marian Rivera gave birth to their youngest child – baby Jose Sixto “Ziggy” Dantes IV. Dantes has a beautiful wife and daughter, and now a son.
What makes Dingdong an inspirational man and father are that he always prioritizes his family amidst acting projects, hosting jobs, and advocacies through the YesPinoy Foundation.
Dingdong Dantes is the TV host of reality-based artista search “Starstruck.” He will also reportedly play the male lead character of the adaptation of the hit Korean series “Descendants of the Sun.”

ZOREN LEGASPI
It is obvious to everyone that actor Zoren Legaspi is a family man. No wonder he and his family has several brand endorsements and star in TV commercials. His children Mavy and Cassy are now more visible in local show business. Zoren and wife Carmina Villaroel receive commendation from netizens for their good parenting skills.
Aside from being a father, a husband, and a fitness enthusiast, Zoren is part of the epic-drama series, “Sahaya.”

DOUG KRAMER
Doug Kramer is another family man who is hands-on in taking care of his children. He may be busy practicing and playing basketball for Phoenix Fuel Masters but he always finds time for the kids for their special moments.
He is proud of his family with wife Cheska Garcia. Kramer has even described himself on his Instagram account as a “Faithful Steward! Husband to a gorgeous wife! Father to 3 beautiful kids! PBA Champion.”
