Four thousand Business process outsourcing (BPO) jobs for Filipinos are being filled at Alorica Philippines by end of July 2020.
The American call center giant announced on July 27 the job openings at the Alorica offices in Alabang, Cebu, Centris, Clark, Cubao, Davao, Fort Bonifacio, Ilocos Norte, Lipa City, Makati, Marikina, Pasay, and Sta. Mesa.
Applicants can be new graduates or experienced workers in other industries and need to possess good communication skills.
As the threats from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) are still present, Alorica said it is enforcing comprehensive health, safety, and sanitation measures compliant with guidelines from the government.
Alorica employees provide complimentary shuttle service, observe strict physical distancing, mandatory thermal checks, heightened disinfecting and sanitizing activities, daily health surveys, and assigned safety officers.
It also offers work-from-home arrangements for qualified applicants.
“As we continue to grow and service some of the biggest brands in the world, we’re pleased to be able to help support the local economy and provide thousands of jobs, especially to many who have become unemployed as a result of this health crisis,” Alorica President of Asia Pacific Operations Bong Borja said.
In 2019, Alorica announced the hiring of 9,000 BPO agents to bring its total current workforce to nearly 50,000. It also expanded operations in 2017 by hiring 10,000 workers.
