Three Filipina e-commerce entrepreneurs from local businesses Lucky HR, Papemelroti, and Sundals have bagged top honors in the second edition of the Lazada Forward Women Awards.
The e-commerce platform hosted this year’s awards to honor 18 outstanding female business owners across Southeast Asia on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2022, including the three winners from the Philippines.
Leading the Filipina awardees is Monalisa Gao of e-commerce corporate Lucky HR who was named the Philippines’ winner of the coveted Lazada Forward Woman of the Year award.
Filipino craft store Papemelroti‘s Elyse Janina Pilapil-Juan won the Bricks to Clicks Tech Adopter award.
Evan Marie Maderazo of local shoe brand Sundals was recognized as a runner-up in the Inspiring award category.
The three Filipina award recipients were recognized during the awards ceremony held at Lazada’s flagship office and Singapore headquarters, Lazada One, which was also broadcasted on the LazLive channel in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The 2022 Lazada Forward Women Awards spotlighted the achievements of the award recipients who found their creative niche, challenged social norms, and grew the success of their businesses through the e-commerce platform.
Last year, Filipino pet care brand entrepreneur and Forbes-cited gamechanger Georgianna “George” Carlos won in the Enterprising Seller category of the inaugural Lazada Forward Women Awards for her own brand, Fetch! Naturals.
