“I give up! I quit!”
“I can’t take it anymore!”
“I don’t want to do it!”
It is so easy to say these words when we are experiencing difficulties and challenges in life. This is quite understandable because we all would rather attain our goals and dreams without having to pass through the eye of the needle.
One reason why people would rather take the easy way out is laziness. I even read this statement where it says, “I don’t care if I’m lazy, as long as I’m not tired.”
I would like to encourage all of you NOT TO QUIT no matter how difficult the situation is or how you feel. Why?
First of all, so that you…
AVOID REGRETS
If you easily give up you will just end up thinking about all the “What ifs”, the things that could have happened.
What if you just exerted more effort and became more diligent in looking for a job? You would probably not end up in this situation where you are living HAND TO MOUTH.
What if you just stayed put in your job despite the difficulties you experienced? You would have probably gotten that PROMOTION that you have been waiting for.
What if you sacrificed your spending so that you can save up your money? You would probably not end up deep in DEBT.
Regret always comes toward the end. So if the only reason why you have not pursued your dreams is your laziness or your disdain for the challenges that come with it, then you will definitely regret this decision in the end.
Do not just give up because of the challenges. Do not give up especially because you just feel lazy. You have to remember that challenges are…
PART OF THE PROCESS
If someone offers you something that would give you INSTANT SUCCESS, don’t bite it. That is rubbish!
Take, for instance, Manny Pacquiao. He did not become a successful boxer OVERNIGHT. Do you think he just slept on it and when he woke up the next day he was the famous person he is now? We all know that it doesn’t work that way.
Each success story has a back story. And I believe that a TRULY SUCCESSFUL PERSON is someone who has gone through every eye of a needle that was demanded for him to reach his goal.
Finally, you should not give up because the difficult process will…
DEVELOP YOUR CHARACTER
The problem with immediately getting what you want is that you develop IMPATIENCE. You don’t get used to even just a little hardship. So, your tendency is to just SETTLE FOR LESS, as long as you don’t suffer. As a result, you won’t treasure what you have achieved because you were able to get it without any effort.
But if you went through the process of challenges to get what you have been wanting all this time, you will get nothing but the BEST and you will APPRECIATE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. This is because you have achieved, attained or acquired it with your blood, sweat, and tears.
And this is not the end of it. The process itself has MOLDED YOU TO BECOME THE BEST.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Are you tempted to quit?
If yes, why don’t you want to finish what you have started?
What hinders you from pursuing your dreams?
