The University of the Philippines Diliman has taken a step towards its transformation into a smart campus with the installation of automated weather stations in several sites.
The UP Diliman College of Science reported on January 25, 2021, the installation the automated weather stations that are gathering research-grade data on wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and rainfall.
The effort was spearheaded by Dr. Mylene Cayetano of IESM and the Diliman Environmental Management Office (DEMO).
The group announced that the next installation is scheduled for the National Science complex.
