The singing trio of TNT Boys received a near perfect score of 99 from the combined scores of the American and Wall of the World judges in the new CBS talent show “The World’s Best.”
The TNT Boys composed of Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Kiefer Sanchez performed their well-known cover of Beyonce’s “Listen” which had already earned them rave reviews from international celebrity shows.
The young Filipino singers’ performance on Superbowl Sunday (February 4 in Manila) visibly moved the celebrity judges enough to earn the boys a score of 49 from the trio of Drew Barrymore, Faith Hill, and Ru Paul, while the Wall of World judges gave them enough points to result in the near perfect score. The score the TNT Boys received earned them a spot in the next round of the show.
Filipino celebrity singer Pops Fernandez who was a member of the Wall of the World judges and who had earlier teased about the TNT Boys’ inclusion in the show, was seen proudly watching the performance.
“I am so proud right now to represent the Philippines. On behalf of the Filipinos, guess what? I know for a fact that you can be The World’s Best,” Fernandez was quoted to have said after the impressive performance of the young talents from the Philippines.
