She has recently been appointed the permanent dean of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Nursing, which was renamed last year as the Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing (NAWSON) in honor of the Philippine-born immigrant woman leader from Vigan.
