Six Filipino youth have been chosen as Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) delegates to the YSEALI Generation: GR3EN Workshop in Brunei Darussalam from February 25-28, 2017.
The young leaders are part of the 50 selected youth from 10 countries who will be attending 4 days of eco-entrepreneurship workshops focused on eco-tourism.
The Philippine delegation members are:
- Ms. Jeahan Anao Haron
- Ms. Sarah Marie Gemanil
- Mr. Mark Harris Lim
- Mr. Miguel Paulo Mendoza
- Mr. Paul Andrew Orpiada
- Mr. King Jehu Radaza II
GenerationGR3EN will bring together 50 delegates (aged 20-35) from all ten YSEALI member countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The workshops are part of the initiative to develop a generation of “eco-entrepreneurs” with the knowledge and skills to launch environmentally-friendly green businesses.
Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from 'green business' experts, explore tourism in Brunei Darussalam, connect with like-minded youth leaders, and develop innovative eco-tourism business plans.
The YSEALI GenerationGR3EN Workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and funded through a Cooperative Agreement from the U.S. Embassy in Brunei Darussalam to AGREA for administration of the workshop and follow-on activities which have been planned through 2017.
