Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) took home two awards from the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) Development awards held at the Sultanate of Oman.
DBP was declared winner of the Environmental Development Award for “Advancing the Use of Renewable Sources through Freeport Zone: Enfinity Philippines Renewable Resources” – the solar-power plant project in Clark Freeport Zone that generates a capacity of 22.326 MWp from the renewable energy source and which started operations in March 2016.
DBP was also given the Merit Award in the Financial Inclusion category for financing P1.5-billion of the 2017 project, “Driving to Break Boundaries: DBP Program Assistance to Support Alternative Driving Approaches (PASADA) Financing program” to boost transport corporations and cooperatives towards safer and environmentally friendly modern public transportation.
The ADFIAP Outstanding Development Project Awards held in February recognizes member-banks which have undertaken and/or assisted projects that have created a development impact in their respective countries.
