Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo has made it to this week’s MTV Mood Playlist with her song “Kilometro”, the only Filipino song to be added on the Spotify weekly list.
The MTV Asia Mood Playlist for the week of May 11, 2020, listed the Asian Artist of the Year Awardee’s “Kilometro” on the second spot of the digital music playlist.
“Stay safe, stay positive. Together we will get through this as one!” MTV Asia wrote in the caption of its announcement of the upcoming new list.
“As we stand in solidarity with the frontline workers, tell us what songs would you like to dedicate to them for all their bravery and selflessness!✊🏼Revolving hearts Also swipe to find out the balcony songs that made it to our playlist this week,” MTV tweeted on May 11 when the new Mood Playlist went live on Spotify.
The song released in 2014 by Viva Records is still making everyone groove with the song’s edgy dance moves and Sarah G.’s impeccable singing.
The song is included in Sarah’s album PERFECTLY IMPERFECT, which won the ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the 28th Awit Awards.
Popsters, Sarah’s fandom name, happily announced the latest achievement of their idol.

“Kilometro as the only Filipino song in MTV Asia Spotify playlist? Queen Sarah G is really waving our OPM flag in the international scene, ladies and gentlemen!!!!” Tanny Geronimo also tweeted.
In January 2020, Sarah Geronimo’s viral dance craze and song “Tala” entered the United States Billboard Charts at 12th spot. The music video has since earned over 100 million views on YouTube.
The Popster fans of Sarah Geronimo successfully organized a dance flash mob dubbed as “Tala para sa Taal” and raised funds for evacuees displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption.
Sarah Geronimo was also among the OPM stars who performed “We Heal As One”, a remake of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) anthem, to call for unity amidst the health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
