The Philippines is once again in the spotlight on the international game development stage as the mobile game “Bounce.io – Balls vs Balls” developed by Mochibits was featured as the first Filipino-made game in Google Play’s All-Star Indie Game Zone.
Google Play Indie Games Accelerator (IGA) program granted Howard Go’s MochiBits as one of its pioneer participants during South Korea’s popular annual international game conference G-STAR held last December. The program provides the MochiBits mentorship opportunities to improve the game as well as further development assistance through identification of potential game bugs and weaknesses unforeseen by their team as part of the IGA’s commitment towards safer and greater business for developers worldwide.
After becoming one of IGA’s pioneer participants, Howard Go envisions aiding indie game developers in the Philippines through providing them a platform for mentorship and technological assistance.
MochiBits is known developing the hit games SwipeTapTap in 2011, Left vs Right: Brain Training Games with more than 5 million downloads and Google Play’s Editor Choice, Hexar.io with more than 10 million downloads.
MochiBits’ Bounce.io–Balls vs Balls has reached more than 50,000 downloads with a 4.6 out of 5 rating in Google Play Store. The multiplayer player-vs-player (PvP) game has an objective to beat your opponent by breaking the most number of blocks. The game features easy to use controls and unique power-ups that you can play with a friend.
