Make-A-Wish Philippines is celebrating its 25th anniversary by launching major activities in 2025 to grant more life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The foundation recently honored its community of donors, volunteers, and partners during the Starlight Awards, recognizing their efforts to make dreams come true for Filipino children facing life-threatening medical conditions.
This milestone year will feature a simultaneous wish-granting activity across the country, making 2025 full of unforgettable moments for the children and their families.
Here’s a wish that is waiting to be fulfilled:
One of the key fundraising events is the “Swing for Wishes” charity golf tournament on October 24 at the Philippine Navy Golf Club. Proceeds from the event will support Make-A-Wish’s goal of granting 525 wishes this year. The foundation is now inviting event sponsors who want to help “make children’s wishes come true, one swing at a time.”
Make-A-Wish® Philippines also continues its partnerships with trusted brands and companies like Fairmont Makati, Jollibee Foods Corporation, MaxiLife, Metrobank, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Marketplace, Toy Kingdom, RealMe, Macquarie Group Limited, and Business Networking International (BNI) Philippines. These partnerships involve employee giving programs, company sponsorships, and other support for creating joyful wish experiences.
The foundation is also working with COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises to amplify its 25th-anniversary message of hope.
Here’s the Make-A-Wish Philippines call for Wishmakers:
This year, the foundation granted its 5,000th wish, marking a major achievement in its mission to bring joy, hope, and strength to more Filipino children.
“We started 2025 strong with a celebration of our community, and we hope to keep that momentum going throughout the year as we grant more wishes for children with critical illnesses. On this 25th year, we strive to have a bigger impact on our wish kids, and to create joyful experiences and unforgettable memories for them and their families,” said Make-A-Wish Philippines Executive Director Aleah Ortiz.
