Does Hinulugang Taktak sound familiar? Of course, it does! You’ve probably read about Antipolo’s well-known tourist spot in your history books!
Besides Antipolo City roads being painted with 3D murals of optical illusions, Antipolo City keeps getting better and better! Well, what’s new? Hinulugang Taktak Nature and Adventure Park has been renovated and now has new attractions and activities for you to try this 2020.
Hinulugang Taktak now has added exciting attractions to the national park: spider web, wall-climbing, hanging bridge, and rappelling.
The park personnel underwent in February a two-level sport climbing certification course to ensure the safe use of the new attractions. The training was led by licensed coaches from the Sport Climbing Association of the Philippines.
Antipolo Mayor Andeng Ynares went on Facebook to say the new attractions are nearly finished and will be open in time for the summer break. The city leader also recalled it was 2015 when Hinulugang Taktak was again opened to the public after it was renovated, adding an elevator for senior citizens and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) to use.
Declared a National Park in 1990 and a protected landscape in 2000, Hinulugang Taktak is famous for its lush greenery and cooling waterfall.
The park has several gazebos, tables, and a pool, making the tourist spot a great destination for families looking to cool off just two hours outside of Metro Manila. There is a small entrance fee, and other miscellaneous fees depending on what you’d like to do.
So what are you waiting for? Plan ahead of your holidays and come visit Hinulugang Taktak in Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City, Rizal. Besides Hinulugang Taktak, you can also visit Cloud 9 (only 9minutes away from the falls) which Belgium’s Got Talent winner Ian Lodens visited with his family!
