Have you told yourself these words?
Are you so down because you feel like your husband or boyfriend is going to leave you because of how you look now?
Are you desperate to find ways to boost your confidence?
To help boost the confidence of people with low self-esteem, some tend to just go to the gym and have a spa treatment or parlor treat to look and feel good. While there is nothing wrong with this, we fail to realize that beauty is more than skin deep.
This is the reason why many people complain about how ugly and fat they have become to no end!
When you come to the point of giving up and just accepting that you have become too ugly and too fat, STOP!
Stay calm and reflect on these points I am going to share. First you have to understand that…
YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE BY GOD
You are made in the image and likeness of God, so don’t belittle what you have or don’t have.
Whether you are too short, your nose is too flat or your complexion too dark, so what? God loves you just the way you are. He wants you to take good care of yourself, and He is hurt when you find faults in yourself because He made you beautiful.
Be grateful to God that He made you in His likeness and not in any animal’s (i.e. monkey) likeness. Show your gratefulness by appreciating your height, weight, skin color, all of your attributes! Thank Him every single day.
SELF-ESTEEM IS THE BEST OUTFIT
Knowing the first point, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, will give you the ultimate confidence boost you need.
You may notice that there is something amazing about confident people. It is not because of the clothes they wear or the color of their skin, but in the way they carry or bear themselves. There are people who, despite their status in life or even their good looks still don’t have a positive impact to others. Why is this so? Because they don’t even believe in themselves.
Build your self-esteem from the inside and you will be confident on the outside. We should appreciate what God has gifted us with physically. We should love whatever we see reflected in the mirror because what you see is a miracle from God. Let that miracle be a blessing–not a burden–to your spouse and to everyone around you.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Do you think you are ugly or fat? Remember, self-confidence is the best outfit and that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. So think again.
