Sunday night, the 82nd Annual Golden Globes® hosted by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser aired live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ from The Beverly Hilton. - Kicking it off with a reference to the longtime show venue, “I’ve got to say: This feels like I finally made it. I’m in a room full of producers at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and this time all of my clothes are on.”
- A bit about how the year’s nominated TV shows The Bear, The Penguin, and Baby Reindeer are not “just things found in RFK’s freezer”
- The comedian also turned her attention to Ben Affleck, “Yes, Wicked, Queer, Nightbitch. These are not just words Ben Affleck yells after he orgasms. These are some of the incredible movies nominated tonight.”
- “Thank you so much for all of your hard work,” Glaser said of Kidman, who is nominated for Babygirl. “Thank you. Thank you for working so hard, and thank you to Keith Urban for playing guitar around the house so much that she wants to leave and make 18 movies a year.”
- Emilia Pérez defeated Wicked to win Best Picture — Musical or Comedy.
- Fernanda Torres became the first Brazilian to win the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama (I’m Still Here). In her acceptance speech, Torres dedicated her award to her mother, the last Brazilian nominee in that category 25 years ago.
- Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (The Substance) — and reflected on her first recognition and award in her entire 45-year career in Hollywood.
- Sebastian Stan took home Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy (A Different Man), advocating for empathy and inclusion in his acceptance speech.
- Zoe Saldaña won her first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress (Emilia Pérez), and delivered a heartfelt tribute to her collaborators, celebrating the power of diverse storytelling.
