Marikina shoes by Risque Designs founder Tal de Guzman are sourced from indigenous fabric material from around the Philippines.
De Guzman’s unique shoe designs also make use of Filipino culture icons such as the kalabaw (water buffalo), tarsiers, the walis tingting (local broom), and more.
Tal de Guzman promotes local artisans and advocates fair trade with woodcarvers and shoemakers.
