The public is invited to learn about Filipino satellite technology for outer space exploration in a 3-part webinar offered by the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA).
PhilSA Space Infrastructure Information Bureau’s “Lakbay Kalawakan: An Introduction to Philippine Space Exploration” will have participants learning space science and technology from the Filipino perspective.
The webinar series is part of the Space Information Infrastructure Capacity Building and Training Program (SIICaP) which aims to promote awareness of how space science and technology applications improve lives, especially among Filipinos.
The three-part series run from May to June and will cover the following topics:
- An Introduction to Philippine Satellites and Missions
- Overview of Philippine Satellite Operations
- Amateur Radios on Philippine Satellites
Part 1 is scheduled for May 27, 2022, 10:00 AM – 12:00 NN PhST and will highlight the Philippines’ foray into the Space Age.
