The De La Salle University (DLSU) Arts Congress welcomes the public to its 2023 program comprised of book launches, a film festival, a fair, and an exhibit, among many other offerings of the 3-day event in Manila.
The 16th edition of the annual arts congress is composed of 24 panels, 4 book launches, film screenings, five keynotes, “Siningdustriya” career expo for aspiring creatives, a film festival, a mini bookfair, an exhibit, and an online event.
The events carry the year’s theme: “Engagement – Art, Memory, History (Ugnayan – Sining, Gunita, Kasaysayan)” which seeks to explore the intersections of art, memory, and history, and beyond that, to engage with the public audience and the communities the work of the scholars and artists.

BOOKS
The 4 books to be launched are the following:
- Mga himutok sa palikuran at iba pang kuwento
- Growing up, Filipino 3: new stories for young adults
- Kaming mga Lasalyanong Guro
- We Lasallian Teachers.
FILM SHOWING
The film showing features “Con tu latido Filipinas canta a aute/ The life and music of Luis Eduardo Aute”.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
The 16th DAC features the Keynote address of 5 writers and artists:
- Eka Kurniawan (Indonesia)
- Morakot Meyer (Thailand)
- Michael Coroza
- Manix Abrera
- Arnulfo Azcarraga
SININGDUSTRIYA
Siningdustriya on February 22 features both Plenary and Parallel sessions and a Job fair for creative job seekers.
DLSU Arts Congress also presents support activities in celebration of the National Arts month:
- Edsa film festival: tungo sa pananagutan at hustisya on February 21-23
- Mini bookfair on February 22-24
- Engagement: Artmeory (art, memory, history) on February 24 to April 24
- Art and Memory online event on February 27
DLSU Arts Congress is organized by the De La Salle University (DLSU) Office for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) College of Liberal Arts (CLA), College of Computer Studies Assistant Dean for Research and Advanced Studies (CCS ADRAS), Culture and Arts Office (CAO), The Museum, The Libraries, the CLA Graduate Student Council, (CLA GSC) and the University Student Government (USG).
This year’s organizing team includes the Department of Literature, the Department of Filipino, the Southeast Asian Research Hub and Center (SEARCH), Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center (BNSCWC), the Research and Grant Management Office (RMGO) and Cultura (Literature student organization).
