Davao’s Auro Chocolate continues winning streak with 4 World Awards in Guatemala

Auro Chocolate from Davao continues to raise the Philippines’ image in the world chocolate industry with its newest four World Awards from the 2019 International Chocolate Awards (ICA) held in Guatemala.

The Philippine chocolate brand won 2 Silvers and 2 Bronze Awards in the World Finals of the ICA competition held on November 18 at the Palacio de los Capitanes, Antigua Guatemala – the first time the awards were held in a cacao-producing country.

Auro Chocolate was first named a Grand Jury Finalist in 5 categories after judging held in October in Florence, Italy and announced on October 22 by the International Chocolate Awards, a group of independent international partners based in the UK, Italy, and the USA.

These are the 4 World Awards for Auro Chocolate at the 2019 International Chocolate Awards:

1. Plain/origin dark chocolate bars, Silver: Auro Chocolate (Philippines) – 70% Dark – Tupi Origin

2. Milk chocolate bars with inclusions or pieces, Silver: Theo and Philo Chocolate (Philippines) – Milk Chocolate Adobo
+ Special: Local ingredients
+ Special: Gastronomic

3. White chocolate bars with inclusions or pieces, Bronze: Auro Chocolate (Philippines) – 32% Moringa White Chocolate with Pinipig
+ Special: Local ingredients

4. Dark chocolate enrobed fruit pastes, jellies/gelée, Bronze: Auro Chocolate (Philippines) – Dalandan Tarragon

Auro Chocolate had also recently received one of the main awards for the Top 20 Best Cacao Beans in the World from the International Cocoa Awards of the Cocoa of Excellence (CoEx) Programme given by the Salon Du Chocolat with Auro Chocolate cocoa farmer Jose Saguban personally receiving the Award in Paris, France.

Earlier this year, Davao’s Auro Chocolate won gold at London’s Academy of Chocolate Awards.
