Mister Philippines Ryan Kristopher Sacopon of Batangas has successfully raised the country’s flag in Indonesia by winning the Mister Culture International 2024.
The proud Batangeño bested other candidates from different parts of the world during the grand coronation held last June 8 in Jakarta.
Sacopon aced the competitions and won Best in Sportswear and Best in National Costume where he showcased an attire designed by Charlotte Rodriguez and inspired by the Batangas legendary hero, Pablo Maralit.
During the Question-and-Answer segment, the University of the Philippines Los Baños alumnus highlighted his dedication as something he could offer to the international pageant organization.
“Last year in my national pageant, my national director told me that they would give me an international competition. I waited for a year, and right now, I am given the international assignment that I am looking forward to,” Sacopon answered.
“And the skill that I would like to share to you is dedication. If I were be given the chance to be your Mister Culture International, this is the same skill that I would promulgate to the world. Thank you,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, his fellow kababayan Jhun Lloyd Villagracia who represented Southern Philippines, was awarded the second runner-up.
In the female pageant, Lemon Joy Dimayuga, also from Batangas, won Miss Culture International 2024 third runner-up.
With his successful stint in Indonesia, Sacopon has now joined the list of Filipino male pageant winners who brought pride and honor to the country.
Just a few days ago, Jupheter Franco of General Santos City won the Mister Continental World 2024 in Thailand. In 2019, Yves Campos from Cebu bagged the Mister Tourism and Culture Universe crown in Myanmar. On the same year, Mark Angelo Avila of Camarines Sur won Gentleman of the World 2019 in Indonesia.
